Please show me anywhere in Romans 14 or I Cor. chap 8 where the goal is for this alleged weaker brother to be made strong.
The topic was on "the weaker brother" and someone had pointed out that the Biblical definition of a weaker brother is actually someone who has to make higher standards for himself because more things could cause him to sin. (like eating meat that was offered to idols, it's not a sin in itself, but it could have caused a weaker brother to sin so it was best for him to stay away from it)
What's funny (and sad at the same time), is that the guy who posted the above statement actually meant it. He doesn't think the Bible teaches that we should help a weaker brother grow and get stronger so that he can eat the meat offered to idols without being tempted. Obviously, this man hasn't done much Bible study, or he would have known that Christians aren't supposed to stay weak and babylike in the faith.
